The ATP also released the year-end rankings for 2024, with several players achieving significant milestones:

  • Jannik Sinner (No. 1): Sinner made history as the first Italian to finish a year as world No. 1. With 11,830 ranking points, he achieved the highest year-end total since Novak Djokovic in 2020.
  • Alexander Zverev (No. 2): Zverev reached his highest-ever year-end ranking, surpassing his previous best of No. 3 in 2021.
  • Carlos Alcaraz (No. 3): Alcaraz secured his third consecutive Top 3 finish, becoming the only player to finish in the Top 5 in each of the last three years.
  • Daniil Medvedev (No. 5): This marks Medvedev’s fifth Top 5 finish in the past six years, demonstrating consistent elite performance.
  • Novak Djokovic (No. 7): The 24-time Grand Slam champion extended his record of Top 10 finishes to 17, the third-most in ATP history, trailing only Roger Federer (18) and Rafael Nadal (18).

Other notable entries in the Top 10 include Casper Ruud (No. 6) with his third Top 10 finish, Andrey Rublev (No. 8) with five consecutive Top 10 finishes, and Alex de Minaur (No. 9), who became the first Australian man to end a year in the Top 10 since Lleyton Hewitt in 2005. Grigor Dimitrov (No. 10) returned to the Top 10 for the first time since 2017, ensuring that the tradition of a one-handed backhand in the year-end Top 10 continues.
